Biography
Raised in Thailand and later returning to Hong Kong, Weera-it Ittiteerarak (b. 1994, lives and works in Hong Kong) interweaves photography, moving images, and sculptural installations, and references Thai myths and personal storytelling to address the fluidity of identity and the impact of technological and environmental transformations. Ittiteerarak had solo exhibitions at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong (2023); Hong Kong International Photo Festival, Hong Kong (2022); and Run Run Shaw Creative Media Centre, Hong Kong (2020). They also participated in group exhibitions at Goethe Institut, Hong Kong (2022 & 2024); 2024 Italian Contemporary Artists Invitation Exhibition, Florence (2024); Yrellag Gallery, Hong Kong (2023); Book Punch, Hong Kong (2022); FLOOR_, Seoul (2022); Eaton Hotel, Hong Kong (2021); Floating Project, Hong Kong (2019 & 2021), SCM V+ Gallery, Hong Kong (2020); School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong (2017). Their works were collected by the Climate Art Collection, Berlin.
